Why Do Designers Put Boys in Men's Clothing?
These are not men; they are boys dressed up like men. Why is it that designers, in this case Donna Karan, think it is cool to dress up teenagers in suits like this? The target market for these suits is a middle aged man, or perhaps a youngish business man, but it sure as heck is not teenagers.

Let's Stop the Tat Insanity
This is David Beckham. He is a very rich, very famous soccer star. He has a sense of style. He has a lovely ambitious wife. He can make some bad business decisions and he's still be rich. He can disagree with his wife but they'll get over it. He can retire from soccer, switch careers and find plenty of interesting things to do, like starring in ads like this one for a clothing chain. But if he decides he wants his natural skin back, he'll find its Hell to get rid of those tats. Some bad decisions are much harder to get out of than others.

A Sexy Look - Maybe
Are you a young woman who works out a lot and has perfectly flat stomach? Do you like it if men stare a bit at your perfectly flat stomach? If you answered yes to these questions this outfit from Donna Karan may be a good look for you, but not if you're meeting grandmom for lunch.

Yes, You Can be Too Skinny
Generally speaking, we love the designs of the Armani company, both for men and women. But this photo from armani.com, advertising their most expensive line (Prive, or Private) Is a good example of the reason that fashion comes under attack for encouraging unhealthy deprivations and dieting. The outfit is beautiful, but there is nothing healthy or robust about this woman. Look at those toothpick arms! Some women may think she has a great figure, if your idea of great is bulimic. And Armani is based in Italy, producer of sexy, curvy women in the great tradition of Sophia Loren, among many others. Healthy women are strong women; this girl needs to hit the nearest gym for some heavy lifting, and then the nearest pasta palace.

Writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as featured in New York magazine
We recommend using the link below to read what Adichie says about clothing, which includes this quote: "I do think dressing up can be an act of graciousness and respect not only to yourself but to other human beings with whom you interact.

Proof That You Can Still by Stylish at 82
On her way to church, which is not only a spiritual journey, but often a reason for older women to look their best.

A Lady Who Looks Like a Lady
Doesn't this woman look nice? She's wearing a dress by Ocsar de la Renta. If we were meeting a woman for the first time, this is what we hope they would be wearing. (For pleasure, not business of course.)

This is an unusual photo, but I'm not really sure why? It's not the models or the clothing. I would not even recognize any Bottega Veneta products in the picture. But something about the way that the photo bleeds off the edges of the paper?
