These fur lined loafers from Gucci are the worst look of the season - and a must have for Vogue editors.  Which may explain the current state of the fashion industry. From Vogue.com:

How can I look sloppy today, like I just don't care? Sweatpants - check. And some pink, to show my feminine side? Jacket - check.  And spend a lot of money on the whole thing, cause, y'know, daddy left me a bunch, and what the Hell, gotta blow it. Bottega Veneta has your back - check. 

1) A dark striped shirt with a dark striped suit is a bad idea

2) Using the same design on the tie as on the shirt and suit is a bad idea

3) Whatever that is - an apron? - is a very bad idea

4) The head dress is the worst idea of all.

How long did the guys at Givenchy have to work to take a good looking young man and make him look like a joke? 

We received this ad in the mail at our office in Phoenix in late June. As we looked at it, we checked the temperature - 113 degrees. It will be inferno like hot here for another 4 months. Why, exactly, are they sending us this ad now? Or, for that matter, why are they sending this ad to addresses in Phoenix, where it rarely dips below 60? Everyone thinks these big fashion companies are very slick, but maybe not so much.

We love an outrageous hat, and white usually looks great on a woman of color. But still, something here is not working for us.

Let's say you want to play solider for a day, but you're not really, like, brave or anything. Also, let's suppose - just for fun - that you're the kind of idiot that likes $1,800 toys that you can wear. And that, for some reason, you prefer not to go to your local Army Surplus store and pay $40 for this jacket.  Given all that, this is a fine selection Sir. 

We've done a few posts about ludicrously priced ripped jeans for men. But hey, equal rights for all, including the right to spend your money in remarkably stupid ways. So ladies, should you wish to follow the menfolk down the path of idiocy,  be our guests.  And you can wear these pants from Saint Laurent while you're walking down that lane - $890 for "distressed" jeans.

Or you can buy some at the Gap for $50, send them to Attitude Media, and we'll distress them for free. Then you can send the $840 you just saved to buy food for some starving kids in Africa; and throw in a few hundred schoolbooks as well.  Maybe you'll wake up one day and realize that the smile on the face of a kid with food in her stomach is a cooler look than ripped jeans.

We get it. You woke up this morning and thought "What can I do today to show the most contempt possible for those who actually have to work for a living?" And then you found the perfect solution: High top sneakers decorated with Mickey Mouse and dollar bills, and you could spend $675 for them! Perfect!

So put on your shoes, ask your phone if there's a real bar still left in Manhattan, have your driver drop you off there, and put a few hundred dollar bills on top of the bar. Then light them on fire. Or, just buy a second pair of these shoes. Same thing.

Or perhaps Iggy Pop? No? Then under no circumstances should you be seen in this suit. Not even in your own home. With the blinds down. And the lights turned off. No, no, no.
