You would think that a man born with no hands or legs would do well just to survive. Especially if he’s 29 inches tall. And born in a time when those with disabilities were often looked at like devilish freaks. But Matthias Buchinger apparently didn’t spend much time feeling sorry for himself; he was too busy fathering at least 14 children by 8 different women, and becoming a brilliant artist and magician, as well as marksman. So talented in fact, that his work is now being featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
