The Misunderstood Chinese Economy
While Americans tend to think of China as the "Workshop of the World", most goods produced in China are actually consumed in China. And while China's exports have not been growing, US exports to China have been growing at a rapid pace. This has been made possible because China is one of the few countries in the world where real per capita income has been growing rapidly.
