The Republican Party has produced many fine nominees for president, and some real buffoons, such as Richard Nixon.

One of the fine ones, Mitt Romney, today went after one he believes has the potential to be a real buffoon – and also to hand the race to Hillary.  It’s unusual for a high ranking politician to speak in such unvarnished terms about a leading candidate from the same party, but Romney pulled no punches in his attack on Trump, calling him a phony and a fraud – and those were the nice comments.
