John F. Kennedy, President, on attending senate meetings.

You certainly don’t have to be all that smart to become President of the United States, and his Pulitzer Prize winning book, Profiles in Courage was probably mostly ghostwritten.

All that glamour about Camelot was really complete BS.  All Kennedy really cared about was chasing women while he was in the senate, and later when he became president, so it shouldn’t be very surprising that he used the phrase above to describe how he felt about actually attending to senate business.
