Current venture or career

The urge to start something new usually strikes when people are fairly young, and entrepreneurial culture is, to a large degree, a youth culture. As people age, they often grow more concerned with financial security and, less tangibly, the notion of failure is less acceptable with age. There are many factors making new ventures and careers progressively more difficult as one ages; among others, the spirit of youth is optimistic; as one ages, the fight between reality and hope tends to make one more conservative.
