All the data in subsidyscope.org has been sourced from the federal government site http://www.usaspending.gov/. The data from the fed government site says that “subsidies” include grants, contracts, loans and direct payments. Could not locate data which gives idea about what % of total earning of corporations in USA comes from government, but found direct facts from the federal government on its spending on contracts to corporations, grants to state bodies. Total spending by federal government on “Contracts+Grants” in last 10 years was $ 10.9T. One source says almost same amount was spent by state and local government on “Contracts+grants” in the last 10 years (http://www.referenceforbusiness.com/encyclopedia/Gov-Inc/Government-Contracts.html#b), so the total spending becomes almost $22T by the government bodies on contracts and grants. For state governments contract and grants to corporations-I could not find a source which could give you data about all the states at one place, but every state has its own data e.g for North Carolina we have http://www.ncopenbook.gov/NCOpenBook/GrantsHome.jsp.
