In a survey made in June of 04 asking 187 construction executives 'what do you most want from your job' more than 54% indicated they would rather be highly admired than highly paid. 'Job challenge' was the second most common response, with pay as number 3. . .The survey also concluded that 3 of the most powerful rewards offered to construction workers were praise, freedom to do their jobs as they think best, and exposure to top management.
