I am not sure why I grew up loving to fish so much, why the pursuit of it has given me so much purpose and pleasure, but clearly it is part of who I am. There is no pure rational answer to the question of why any fisherman will travel thousands of miles to some distant place, spending a great deal of money on the trip to catch a few fish, and, of course, immediately release them back into the waters from which they have just come.
