I've said this before, but it bears repeating: Boys are under attack in America. It's a bad thing and it's getting worse. What do we love about boys? We love their enthusiasm. We love their energy. We love their optimism. We love that they are funny. We love that they are explorers. We love that they believe anything is possible. Each of these characteristics can fill a boy to overflowing, however. A boy can be too funny for his own good and the good of his peers. He can be too energetic and become harmful to himself and others. And in those cases, drugs may be a valid course. But it is becoming clear that in an unnaturally high number of cases, we are just drugging boyhood.
